The Landings is a community of 700 dwellings. All are governed by The Landings Management Association (LMA). They meet the first Thursday of every month, and encourage attendance and participation. There are opportunities to run for the board as well. There are 21 additional association governing various condominiums and the freestanding homes. The LMA is the largest, the Landings Homeowners Association the second largest with 218 homes. The Landings Racquet Club (LRC) is independent of the housing associations and governs those who are members. Some condo associations require membership. With others, including the homeowners, it is optional. If you are not a member and wish to join discuss it with the LRC management. In addition to the individual boards and officers some associations retain professional management to carry out daily responsibilities. If your association has one, questions should first be directed to the professional manager, then with a board member if you did not get the information you need. The Landings Eagle provides a reasonably up to date list of all the associations. Officers and professional management change regularly so we cannot promise complete accuracy: Association Data link All associations are governed by a basic set of covenants placed in the county record as each area of The Landings was developed. They are strict rules regarding everything from architecture to rental rules. You should have obtained a copy of both the LMA covenants and those of your individual association from the previous owner at closing. If you did not they may be obtained from your individual association's professional manager or president. In some cases they are quite thick and there will be a change for them. For your convenience there are copies of the LMA, LHA and LRC documents on this site. We do not have the 20 additional association documents however. What we have can be found at Landings Legal . We DO NOT Guarantee all additions and amendments are included. You should obtain your own copy. There are also two sets of State Laws governing Condo and Homeowners Associations. They are primarily to protect individual owners. They can be found at the State of Florida site: Florida Law/Condos and Homeowners. The previous owners of
your property should also have left you a If you do not have the publications you can purchase them from Argus Management 927-6464 for $2.50 each, or wait for the next free update.
